Arts on the Greenway: Textile Columns

In recognition of the region’s rich and complex history in textile arts, the Lancaster County Council of the Arts invites artists from the Southeast to submit their designs for a new public art initiative. This installation will include 40+ permanent art columns along the Lindsay Pettus Greenway. Each column will feature a unique piece of art, inspired by a historic Springs Industries textile design. This installation will tie the history of Lancaster, home of Springs Industries, to its current arts landscape, activating one of the city’s treasured public spaces and bringing the cultural art history of the community to life.
